As many of you are aware, there has been a lot of building work going on at the hall recently.  This is the reason that the hall has not yet re-opened, as there is still work to be done.  The building has been underpinned, and a new roof installed so far.

The photos below show the work in its various stages of construction, and we are still not back to full working order yet.  There is some work on the ceiling, flooring and electrics for which funding has only just been granted.  Also, the stage is to be rebuilt and a new kitchen installed.

We are very excited to get the hall up and running again, and for the community to be able to use it again.  Watch this space for further updates, and the announcement for our re-opening events.

There has been a lot of work behind the scenes from both Mawr Community Council and the Garnswllt Welfare Hall Association to prepare the hall for this work and apply for grant funding etc.  If you would like to become a member of the hall Association, please email us at garnswllthall@outlook.com The commitment is approximately 2 hours per month.  We are particularly on the lookout for a member who could take on the website maintenance, so please consider us if this is your area of interest.
